The new "blue" scenery

Iceberg / Snowflake - Cold Feeling

Contains more red (purple) than pure blue. There is also more white-white (snow) to add coldness.

Make some iceberg shapes/forms with resin

Make some "ice" - I put the wool felt into the resin, and then when the wool felt is fully immersed in the resin, it creates the effect of ice crumbs.

Especially in the light, the resin brings a reflective effect, thus making the wool felt soaked in resin more like ice crumbs.

Sky

Adding colour essence to resin

I'm trying to create a colour that approximates the sky.

I tried to create the effect of clouds by leaving part of the wool felt exposed on the outside of the resin.

Starry sky

Starry sky at night - dark purple combined with dark blue.

So I added a dark colour essence to the resin.

In progress...

I am trying to find stones that match the characteristics of the natural landscape I have chosen.

The characteristics of the first stone in the second row are very much in line with my perception of the characteristics of icebergs - the light blue colour and the texture of snow (soft).

Also the dark purple colour of the second stone in the second row matches the colour of the starry sky I remember.

Love this post-the way you align blocks of Color with the material research you are conducting. From your first inspo images of icy landscapes-I love the third pic with the view of the iceberg from above, and under the water. Seems like something that would be interesting to explore in adornment-what is seen and unseen, above and underneath. The wool embedded in resin has a really interesting effect, I have never seen that before!

Thanks for your comment! Before I poured the resin on top of the wool felt, I tried other ways to create "ice", but none of them were very successful. When I combined the wool felt with the resin, I found that this was the "ice" effect I was looking for. I love it so much!
